WHAT IS DISCOVERY DAY?
A family event open to the public providing educational hands-on
experiences in a friendly atmosphere. Information will be available
about joining 4-H and exhibiting at the Oakland County Fair! Every year
over 600+ individuals visit 4-H Discovery Day making it one of the most
popular 4-H events of the year.
WHO MAKES IT HAPPEN?
We offer 4-H Clubs and other community organizations stalls can run
between 1 and 5 tables depending on the activity and the amount of

**Each booth is required to provide its own volunteers, if you think
you might need extra help please contact Jason at the 4-H office.
Reminder to all Oakland County Fair Exhibitors
All market sheep, swine, goats and prospect calves must have verification of ownership by Discovery Day of the current year. Official tagging will take place at the Fairgrounds on Discovery Day from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for the 2019 Fair. All animals must have an official, permanent ear tag in order to be shown. Once the ear tag is placed it may not be removed for any reason. If you have any problems with the tag (falls out, lost, etc.) you must contact your species superintendent immediately. ANIMALS NOT VERIFIED (TAGGED) WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LIVESTOCK AUCTION AT THE FAIR.
The exhibitors may tag an extra animal if available only at tag in to accommodate any unforeseen problems or accidents. Note: First year exhibitors must meet all ownership requirements for their species and must have animals tagged no later than the June 3 rd Fair entry deadline and must call the Fair Office to arrange for tagging Horse and Dog Verification f
