- Five to Seven-year-old exhibitors may show in competitive show bird showmanship and specific pet or breed classes. If so, they will follow all check in/check out times and rules. Five to Seven-year-old exhibitors may show in noncompetitive classes and bring in or borrow an animal from another exhibitor for the day of the show but cannot do both competitive and noncompetitive in the same Livestock areas. The Superintendent must inspect the pen before the exhibitor is dismissed. Each exhibitor is responsible for cleaning box stall, pen or cage before checking out and leaving the grounds. Failure to comply will result in a $50.00 per box stall, pen or cage cleaning fee charged to the exhibitor.
.All poultry, regardless of age, except waterfowl, pigeons and doves shall meet one of the following pullorium-typhoid requirements: 1) have a negative official test within 90 days before being caged at Fair or 2) originate from a certified NPIP flock and have a VS9-2 or VS9-3 certificate. 8.Paper bags of feed may not be left out in aisles in the poultry barn.
.You must bring your own shavings to be used on your cage floors.
.Failure to properly care for your animals may result in a loss of premiums and may be cause for removal from the Fair grounds and may affect your eligibility to exhibit at future Fairs.
.If you cannot be at Fair at any time you must make arrangements for another exhibitor to care for your animal and you must notify the area superintendent with the name of the person caring for your animal.
.It is a requirement that all birds be dusted before Fair check in. Sevin dust is recommended. Birds that are found carrying parasitic bugs (i.e. lice or mites) will be given one chance to re-dust. If birds are found carrying bugs a second time, the birds will not be allowed to exhibit and must be taken home.
