Rules:All items in this department must be sewn by machine or hand-made.Exhibitor may enter a maximum of 1 entry per class.Back edges of all needlework must be finished in the proper manner for that class.
DIVISION 1- CLOTHING-CASUAL/SPORTY
These exhibits are clothing worn in everyday life or clothing worn during physical activities.Seam allowances should be stable and sturdy in these pieces to aid endurance and longevity of these pieces.Also consideration should be given to the material used in this exhibit.

DIVISION 6- QUILTING
HAND QUILTING:These exhibits are pieces of material sewn together to form a design and HAND QUILTED. Quilted projects must consist of 3 layers stitched together and should include a binding separate from the top and backing. MACHING QUILTING: These exhibits are pieces of material sewn together to form a design and quilted on a machine.A quilted item must consist of 3 layers stitched together.First year projects may be tied instead of quilted.These can include quilts, pillows or clothing.Stitches should be evenly spaced in the quilting.

DIVISION 7APPLIQUE
These exhibits are non-clothing items that exhibitor has used as an appliqué to change its looks. These can include quilts, pillows or other household items (such as napkins, placemats, rugs, runners etc.). No iron on appliqués in this division, appliques should be sewn on by machine or by hand. Stitching should be stable and neat.

DIVISION 8 NEEDLECRAFT
These exhibits are items or designs created using a cylindrical tool such as knitting or crocheting, etc. Knitting exhibits are items created using knitting needles or like tools.They should contain both the knit stitch and the purl stitch.Arm knitting also falls under this category. Crochet exhibits are items created using a crochet hook and any crochet stitch the exhibitor would like.We encourage try as many stitches as you can and displaying your knowledge for all to see.
