The Oakland County Fairboard is moving forward with plans for our 2020 Oakland County Fair. Serving our youth and community is a high priority and we will adhere to all social distancing and other best practices so our fair can be held safely and responsibly. Our plans are governed by the MI Safe Plan and will be adapted to meet those guidelines.
The Fairboard is keeping as many options available as possible. Those options include:
- Having as close to a traditional Fair as possible within the MI Safe plan phase openings and following all guidelines regarding social distancing and other safety practices.
- An exhibitor only competition- no carnival, no vendors, or other entertainment, and no general public. This could mean scheduling appointments for exhibitors to have their projects judged or in small groups to be judged depending on group size that is permitted by the phase reopening.
- A completely virtual Fair. Showcasing projects totally online.
- A combination of virtual and in person competition, again with no carnival, vendors, entertainment or general public.
Thank you for continuing to support us as we work to define how the Oakland County Fair will still take place as a fun, safe, family friendly event.
